There are a few options when cycling from Grazalema to Ronda and this route is the most rewarding but also challenging.

Starting from Grazalema, one of Spain's most beautiful towns and the heart of Grazalema Natural Park, you will start with a climb through and above the town capturing great views below. Your climb will finish at the highest point of the route at Puerto de las Pelomas, before an epic descent into Zahara de la Sierra (another one of Spain's most beautiful towns).

From here you will follow the boundary of the lake below the town before you start ascending again. A long climb and a short climb will leave you approaching the towns of Montejaque and Benaoján via impressive views of the local dam.

From Montejaque you will start a long descent that passes by the 'Cat Cave' where water flows year-round providing a great opportunity to have a little swim in the natural lagoon, but beware it can be cold. From here the road will undulate a little until you finish with a few shorter climbs into Ronda via a view point of the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge).
