On August 10th the Virgin de la Oliva is taken up to Vejer as a “Romeria” (Pilgrimage), which is attended by locals and makes a great opportunity to get involved with local traditions.
Traditional Dress: A unique garment called a “Cobijada” is used during this festivity. A dress of Castillian origin but dons strong similarities to Islamic traditions.
